I beat P.J. to the punch!
Welcome to the HooHaa Baseball Card Blog! Hopefully we’ll come up with a more unique title than that soon.
In the meantime, I’m going to attempt to explain what we’re hoping to accomplish here.
What should make this interesting is the fact that I’m a Mets fan and P.J. is a Phillies fan. Somehow, we’ve managed to hold civil conversations over the past few weeks during this pennant race. I’m sure they’ll be some good natured ribbing along the way, but it’s all good.
I envision this blog, at least from my perspective, to just share my thoughts on the hobby of collecting baseball cards. I’m sure I’ll touch on other sports cards as well. I’ll talk about the current state of the hobby, which I’ll admit that I’m not too familiar with it. I’m learning as I go.
I’ll talk about my years of collecting growing up and some of the many great memories I have of that. I started collecting in earnest in 1980 and stopped in the early ’90s.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that I have no idea what direction my side of this blog will take going forward. It should be fun!
